Edward married, Emma Katherine Wankel on Dec. 21, 1871, at Arenzville, Illinois - she was born in Arenvzville, in 1850 [to Franz Peter Wankel and Anna Marie Adelheid Hamm (both are buried in the Arenzville Cemetery)]. Edward and Emma are buried at the City Cemetery, in Rushville, IL.
